Downtown Spanish-Style Condo in Austin Complete

After over a decade of construction, the Spanish-Style Austin downtown condos Villas of Lost Canyon are finally complete. This upscale complex is located overlooking a bluff on beautiful Lady Bird Lake.

Villas of Lost Canyon is a gated, Mediterranean-Spanish style complex with 31 units that average about 3,000 square feet and sold from $700,000 up to $1.5 million per unit. The project began back in 2000, and if it had been started today, would have been at much higher prices than they originally sold due to current land values, according to the president of the development corporation, Robert Heiser Jr. of Heiser Development Corp.

Each unit of Villas of Lost Canyon was custom designed, and the last available condo sold this past December. Some original owners purchased units so long ago that that have already sold their units to new residents.

The developer had no idea this Austin project would take over a decade to come to completion. They have weathered two financial meltdowns over the years, from 9/11 to 2008’s recession. The site, near Barton Springs Road and Kinney Avenue, was originally planned for office space. Previously, the site housed a mobile home park as well as batting cages. Instead, an architect decided to build residential luxury condos.

The project immediately brought many challenges. The unique site is a deep ravine, and the soil is was not ideal. Careful construction details had to be implemented to finish the community. After much hard work, the developer is very pleased with the results of Austin's Villas of Lost Canyon.

This complex is unique for downtown Austin in many ways. Each unit comes with an attached garage with direct entry access. For more information on these, or other condos in downtown Austin, visit contact our office today at...
